Hey all,
I have decided to (attempt to) answer the call for men's clothing. I have spent over a year in SL and I think I have about 3 distinct outfits to wear - one of which i made a long while back.
I've tried the shopping thing - but it's difficult to pour over 500 women's outfits to find 2 mens. Therefore - I am in training with some templates and I intend to open a string of vendors and a section for clothing in my main shop in callisto.
Here's a previe of a shirt I worked on today - I am able to match up just about everything, but the damn collar is still giving me some trouble...
opinions and tomatoes always welcome:

The shirt is great ! drools at the av...... mmmmm ^;;^ will fix up that tan look, have you paler in no time mmmmm waits for a further unbuttoned shirt style.... The pants are nice too, I prefer less bell bottom look tho on men. Great work on both ! I can't wait to see more....

I don't have a handle on this yet either Trent but check out Fey Brightwillows store for an idea. She has quite a large line of mens stuff that is awesome. Maybe give you some more design ideas as well.

Still trying to put together enough to open a vendor up - I have 2 new items - but here is just one for now - a Zip-up Tintable sweater with a high neck
I am going for the basics right now - just clothes guys can wear in different situations without getting overly specific - this is what i find the most lacking in SL personally
here are some shots:

Heh, I hear you, Trent; i've decided to give mens' clothing a shot, too, because I hear so many people complain because there's not enough of it for sale in SL. However... I just don't know what men want. I suppose well-made clothing will always find a market.
A few recent attempts (turtleneck sweater is grayscale, I've tinted it olive):

And, just for the hell of it, pics of a "clubby"-type shirt and leather pants:

Great-looking stuff Trent!
You're right, there really hasn't been a great deal of focus on menswear in SL - perhaps because folks assume guys just hate shopping, period. Nevertheless, there are souls out there such as yourself that make it a point to look good.
I hope your new line for men does very well!

From: Trent Hedges can anyone give me some acceptable clothing prices for men? I dont know what i should start charging for these kinds of iems, I'd like some opinions on reasonable pricing. I charge L$50 for most of my men's pants and shirts, and up to LL$150 for suits, but I've been told repeatedly that I should double my prices. I guess it depends on how hard you think the creation process is, how much profit you're looking to make, and how easy or hard you want to make it for newer and/or poorer players to shop.
