Textures

I started looking for some fabric textures and came across quite a few designed for use with Poser. Anyone know the format Poser uses for textures and if the texture files would be suitabe for use with SL. I presume if the formats are compacable I would have to scale down.

Texture searching within SL seems to be a pain. If you have a lot then it can take a hell of a while to find the one that looks just right. I was wondering if anyone has a method of getting around this problem. Something online that would show a pageful at a time would be nice.

I am thinking there may be a way to store textures offline with a suitable viewer and only upload them as required.

Hmmm I have had alot of textures since early on..

I sorted them in individual folders and so on.. If your using the small texture window its pretty impossible to find whats right.. A faster way is to have your inventory open and drag and drop. If they are sorted say by metal textures.. and your looking to do something with metal then you only have to go thru the ones in the folder.

Being able to view regular textures liek ones for clothing on prims would be cool too.
