I combined the aspects of linden's upperbody template, the bump map and Chip midnight's template to create something that looks a little easier for me to use. The bump map provides anatomical refrences to things like fingernails, nipples and the belly button (others too). And I find there are times I need to use the linden template, as well as Chips so I've alphaed them in order to lay over the bump map. The result you can find here: http://www.fenris-wulf.org/downloads/UpperBodyCombined.zipI hope to make one for the lower body as well.. maybe the others as time goes on.. it wasn't that hard really.

From: Tharkis Olafson I combined the aspects of linden's upperbody template, the bump map and Chip midnight's template to create something that looks a little easier for me to use. I never said I created it from scratch.. I just combined the aspects of 2 existing (freely available) templates with the bump map to make it easier to see where you are positioning things on the skin. All credits for the original works should go to the original authors. I just merely alphaed the 2 uperbody templates and put them in layers along with the bump map which comes in one of the second life folders. I left chip's name on it because he was the one who originally created the high-rez template in the first place. I did not put my name on it however, because I really didn't "create" any of the actual artwork. I only posted it here because I thought it would save others the trouble of doing it themselves, if it's going to be some source of drama I'll remove it and put a picture of a fluffy bunny I drew up.

This is great, Tharkis, thank you You gave Chip proper credit and left his name on the image he created, so it's not like you're trying to take the credit for his work. I don't think there'll be drama, just people in the design community watching out for each other. Thanks for the new tool!

I was just sort of taken off gaurd, didn't mean to make it look like I was trying to steal from Chip, quite the opposite really. His high rez template really helped, which is why I have it as a second layer and also why I included his original image as the bottom layer.

Dress Templates?
01-24-2005 00:58
I have seen dresses in SL and I would like to try to make one. I thought maybe I could merge the upper and the skirt into one template with PS, but when I upload the finished product, do I select to save it as an image? And how do I recreate it in the Appearence mode? Is there a way to do a dress that I am not figuring out? How do you make it one peice in appearance mode?
The helps, tutorials and templates in the forum are awesome! Keep up the good work! You guys ROCK!!!

Dresses are basically a skirt and a shirt that the pieces line up you can't make a dress one article of clothing always has to be two pieces

There's that small gap. Is there a way around this other than making the shirt "looseness" bigger?
