Hey guys..

When i upload a texture say for a shop display it looks perfect quality everything is really good res etc but then when i log back in it goes quite blurry and will stay like that from then on...is there something i can do to make them better quality all the time in stead of just the first time i upload it?

Get a graphics card that has more RAM?

Put your mouse over it to force it to load properly.

Although Cottontail's answer has a bit of merit too - it's probably struggling to load your texture plus all the others, you can force load by mouseover, and in particular by zooming in on it.

If you've got a decent card you might also want to consider a different shop. If you've got 256MB+ then basically everyone will struggle to load that shop. If they're *really* want what you're selling they might stay, but casual browsers won't.

I believe you are experiencing a rezzing bug that quite a few people are having. Often I can watch a texture fully rezz and then just as quickly it will reverse and de-rezz completely.

I actually watched this for 5 mins tonight on an avatars shirt and pants. Rez, de-rez, scroll camera past her with mouse wheel, scroll it back, rez, de-rez etc etc.

I believe the problem is with SL and not anything you are doing.

Yahhh that's so annoying! I was trying to take a pic of my shirt and the texture wouldn't show up. Usually going into appearance settings does the trick but I had to switch to a new shirt and then switch back before it finally loaded. I also get the problem where the texture will show normally and then go into a low-res mode and then after several seconds go back to normal. I don't have much of a problem with textures loading on objects though only when they're scripted to change textures.

I also occassionally experience this problem and a few others.
Every now and then when I log in, the textures on my avatar will res fully, de-res, and then I will become a chameleon and all or part of my textures will be replaced by the environment around me.
When it happens I have to take off everything I'm wearing, change skins, relog, and put it on again to fix the issue. It's not often, but it's annoying. I wonder if it's a problem related to alpha glitches and 32 bit textures...?

I have a decent video card (geforce 6600 OC 256 agp etcetc), so it should be noted that this is a glitch and not a lack of v-card ram. And every single driver on my computer is up-to-date. :o

Stupid as this may sound, I've found that changing to a different group back and forth may help kick SL to reload your av textures. It also cures acne sometimes.
