Hello, I made a cool womens top. It comes down passed the waist. Longer on one side than the other. yada yada yada. (haha) The issue I had was that I wanted to make the sleeves flair out at the wrist. I ended up settling for having the sleeves snug. It didnt look bad but if there is a way to do that I sure would like to do it. Anyone ?? Thanks -j

i have to log in again to completely confirm, but i believe you can do this with a shirt, but not a jacket.
so if you just wear one piece of clothing, you have to choose between the ability to resize the clothing (shirt), or the ability to extend below the waist (jacket)
to get the effect you want, maybe you can combine: ie put an alpha layered shirt that is resized as you want to see it (the alpha keeps it invisible) underneath the jacket
haven't tried it though

Bummer Sounds like it has to be one or the other. I'll try your suggestion. Havent really gone that route yet. It always seemed to me that the clothes will rap around the av but will not exceed the perimiter of the av body. That would be were I guess I should start. If anyone has gone down that road.... HEEEELLLLPPP Thanks much -j

Maybe prim cuffs are the way to go?

I've fiddled a bit with both methods. You can actually have good results by using the shirt layer underneath for shaping, and the jacket layer for the actual clothing. The only drawback is that you use up 2 layers for one garment. That can be a pain especially if you move one of them in your inventory and forget to move the other with it.
For the prim cuffs, you basically make an object with prims to integrate with the clothing. Attach one to each forarm, adjust the position, and viola. Here's a picture of a quick one I slapped together in about a minute.

ahh hence the name ok, not too difficult. I'll give it a shot tonight. It would be nice if sl gave us more flexibility with clothes. but I guess it keeps us on our creative toes! Thanks much for all the help! -j

I own a "untucked" shirt that does just this.
