I was doing my usual deep-mining on Google, looking for textures I can use on some builds and I stumbled upon this. It looks good, and it appears to answer a question that I've only been able to address in Photoshop with tedious bit-fiddling:

PhotoSEAM Texture Editor

From: someone
While PhotoSEAM is capable of doing many things, (like photo-retouch for example) it was designed especially for creating seamless textures.

So many of the textures I want to use end up being too small and hard to tile -- I was looking at this as a nifty tool to take one of those textures and expand/tile it to fit my specs. And it's only $35.

Just wanted to know, before I buy it, whether any of you have tried it (or Photo-Brush) and what you think of it.

There is a rather simple process for this in PS. And GIMP even has a built-in tiling feature (though I'd probably not use it). If you're having problems with this, I've been doing quite a bit lately and would be happy to share how I do it... which may or may not be anything new to you. While this app looks rather nice, if you don't need to spend the money...

Drop me an IM anytime.

I haven't tried it, because it's PC only (and I'm a Mac kinda gal.) But it does look like it does some things you can't do in the other programs usually discussed on these boards. For instance, with them, you can't watch your strokes tile as you draw. (Hard to describe, but fun to see.)

This can be very handy. I've used similar programs for the Mac from time to time, when I had occasion to, and it was great to have them available.

My suggestion is that you download the demo, and give it a whirl! If you like it, then go ahead and buy it, and tell us all what's great about it. :D

If you don't, then you can just let it drop.

But since the demo is free, and available for download, why not see for yourself? :D
