I'm just wondering if I'm missing a trick here? I don't suppose there is ANY way to make a texture be ROUND rather than straight? Yes, I know I'm not making myself clear, so lets' give two examples: 1: I make a cylinder prim 10m dia by 0.25m thick. Like a GIANT coin on the ground. On the face of this coin I want a brick texture. I select the texture for the face, but al I get (Default or Planar mapping) is the brick texture straight and flat across the surface of the giant penny. And not curved, so the bricks follow in a circle the face of this round prim. 2: You make a curved wall, This time a 10m dia x 2m tall prim ( a VERY fat penny!) You hollow the middle out to 95% and apply a brick wall texture to the outside and inside faces. Looks lovely. But now we have the top of the wall to texture. And the matching brick would look nice. So we apply this texture to the top, but the bricks don't wrap arounf the circle, but are just in a straight line, so it cannot be done. I think you get the idea....... Am I missing some trick, or are we just stuck like this, and whenever you create round prims, and try putting paving slabs, blocks, or any pattern onto them, the pattern will always be square and never look nice following the curve of the circluar prims face?

Use a tube instead of a cylinder, and you'll get the effect you're after.
Alternatively, just make a texture that already looks the way you want it, and stick with cylinders.

It you really want a radial pattern for the end of a cylinder, just create one in Photoshop and upload it. That's almost the easiest solution. The easiest is to cap the brick cylinder with either concrete or slab limestone. That's what is often done in RL, especially in cooler climates where freeze-thaw cycles are murder on horizontal brick surfaces.
