If you have proper permissions, you can open it from your inventory and then use the Menu/Save to File comand. (From memory, might not be exactly correct.)
If you do not have the proper permissins, then you will have to be more creative.

the texture must be full permissions (most every texture you will encounter in SL will be).
Then, open the texture, making sure that the texture window is the "one in front"..
Then go to File > Save Texture As
Then you can save the file normally.
If you don't have a full permissions copy of the texture, then there is no way to ACTUALLY download-for-saving a texture using the official SL client. However, as Lee aluded to, there are certain tricks that can be used to extract the files from the viewer cache, or to intercept the textures being displayed through OpenGL.
The ethics of these other techniques, can be someone else's flamewar.

Texture color mismatch
05-25-2008 08:23
From: Idesine Habilis Thanks Lee and Winter Idesine I am having a problem when i upload texttures to put on my clothe. The same texture applied to different layers look different. for instance, when i try to make along shirt, the top texture and the bottom texture look mismatched, even though they are from the same fabric. can someone help me figure out why?
