I'm having problems getting my text to show up correctly on a transparent file. I'm wearing it as a jacket (its meant to be a tattoo) and the actual text is blurry or grey.. I can tint it black but then its just a blob.

Anyone have any ideas?

Text is one of the more difficult tattoos to achieve, make sure the text is large enough and not to intricate a style. I've had to experiment a lot to find the fonts that work best on tattoos, plainer styles are the best unless your writing is quite large

Depending on the body part the text is meant to cover, you might be better off putting it on attached prim instead of on a clothing/skin layer. Since clothing/skin can only be 512x512 for the entire upper body, lower body, or head, The amount of pixels you get to devote to any single body part are quite few. With an attachment though, you could devote the entire canvas to your text for tons more detail.
