You know how many single prim objects say, of an RL object photo, have that whitish glow around the edges? Well you can get rid of that by playing around with the alpha channells. But I recently read a tutorial that used a special Photoshop Action to add more color (the corresponding color) to the edge of the image. The thing is, I forget how she did it. I probably sound totally confusing.... But... how do you get rid of the white glow?

2 solutions. The easiest is simply to give the image a dark gray or black background. Instead of the bright white halo which sticks out like a sore thumb, this will give you a dark halo which is usually completely undectable in SL.
The other solution, the one you asked about, is to put a flattened copy of the image on a single layer at the lowest level, give it a blur to spread it out a bit, and then duplicate the layer a whole bunch of times to make it more opaque. The tutorial you mentioned is here _____________________

Thanks, Chosen!
Lasa, I've added a tutorial since I first posted the one that explains the technique (and allows you to download the Action.) And I'll be adding more. ![]() So, on that page, click on "Alpha Map Transparency" to go to the one that explains how to use that Action. I didn't use it on the Lace tutorial, which is the one that's on top now, because I generally don't, unless the object has a lot of colors. It's easier, as Chosen said, to just flood a background layer with a color to eliminate the halo. I usually use the predominant color from the image. Hope this helps! (Edited to add more information.) _____________________
