Hiya,
I want to create a 20 x 10 metre sign that uses a single texture. Is that possible as it seems you can only build 10x10 metre prims?
I tried 'linking' 2 10 metre prims together and putting in a texture, however the texture appears on both 10x10 metre prims.
I have seen picture viewers and HDTV screens that seem to do that.
Can anybody advise please.
Many tks in anticipation.
...Chris...

On the texture tab, reduce the "Repeats", and then use the offset values to position half the texture on one prim, then do the same on the other prim for the other half.

Not in world right now to test but it would be:
Repeat 0.5 Offset 0.25 and -0.25

I did a video on youtube that shows how 1 texture is spread across two prims to create a 'forest wall' effect:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGnak1bvpCo
