Well ! Hells teeth!

here I am! Forums! Been a while.

You know what occured to me only recently?

That Photoshop is little more than a platform for plug in filters in the same way Windows OS is a platform for us to load SL and other cool things

I bought over $3000 worth of plug in filters 3 mths ago and OMFG!? I had NO idea what I was missing?

Eye Candy, Flaming Pear, Dream Suit, How did I ever cope without them

I highly recomend them folks....theres a whole host of alpha related plug ins that will make light of all the alpha issues we all have/had and they do trials so you can test them think 'hey! i HAVEW to buy this!' then max your credit card out!

One I have ( i forget the name ) i can create drapes all with a click and a slide and a whole bunch of frames from gold leaf to flowers, seamless fur, qilted fabrics, basket weave, trellis, fire, lightning and trust me I have barely scratched the surface!

I am in PS heaven!
Even the novice can create orginal content with these handy little tools!

Ive even started selling my stuff on turbosquid ( amongst the $5 bricks? yeah 1 brick texture for $5...makes what ppl pay for textures in SL seem like chicken feed I cant and wont justify $5 for 1 brick texture esp as I know how quickly as easy it is to make it with these handy plug ins but then maybe ppl are paying for the software the creator has paid for rather than the time & skill? Just an opinion)

I know I know it costs but there are very little quality things in life that dont

If you can afford it and are serious I suggest you take a short cut and buy the tools that make PS REALLY work...failing that bump maps are a super way to create your own texture too...as are alpha masks found free on the net.
Thats it really

Just rambling

I'll go away now

:)

TY you, Lillian, for that advice! I am new to photoshop and am simply amazed by it and always wondered whether those plug-ins were worth the price.

All these toys are SO exciting, stimulating the creative juices, but alas....time is still the most precious of all! There aren't enough hours in the day to due justice to these fine pieces of software!

ah Julia ! Hello

Hope the custom textures were ok? Eric is a wizz in PS and Im delighted I found him.
(nothing better than gay man as a creative partner! you get the male on female relationship without all the complications and sexual politics)
He wont mind me saying this he wears his I AM GAY t shirt with pride

You can find LOTS of free filters on the net and some neat ones for alphas
Alpha Works is one.

But as my parents used to say ' no such thing as a free lunch ' and ' you get what you pay for '

In short if u want to create unique graphic designer style arts and textures you need the tools they use!

:)
