When I work with my plant textures, I can see the transparent edge clearly. How do I eliminate that, or at the very least make it waaay less noticeable?

this is an easy one. Set your plant prim to 100% alpha with a totally clear texture.
Then use select texture, select the two sides you want your plant texture on and drop it.
no more edges :)

Just adding a little clarification here...

The "transparent" rollbox in the edit/Texture window won't do the trick. But there is a 100% tansparent texture in your Library. That's what Taeas is talking about.

There's another way to do this too, with a tiny script. Drop it in the prim's Content tab to make the prim disappear.
