I have ZERO clue *generaly* and even less about how I have done this...but when i goto lighting efects in PS7 now they options are greyed out.
I have 3, Omni, spot and some other but I have lost the 5 down and others and as you know they are VITAL especialy for the custom textures I am working on.
I think I have moved or delted the folder and try as i might I cannot find a replacement. Does anyone know where I can find the folder online (or can any-one copy theirs and send it me?) also...where does it go?
sorry for the noob Qs just this one has me at a loss.
Thanks !

The folder you are looking for should be in the Filters folder inside the Plug-Ins folder inside the Photoshop folder. It's called "Lighting Styles," and contains a bunch of documents named for each of the lighting styles that you have.
The thing is, if a style isn't in there, it doesn't show up in the menu as grayed; it simply doesn't show up at all.
I have no idea what you are doing to have some of the presets visible, and others dimmed.
Can you give us more information about the image? I assume that it's 8 bits RGB, because otherwise the entire Lighting Effects filter would be dimmed. But are you doing something with a layer, or a selection, or something?
This puzzles me.
