black artifacts at skin seams

hey guys, I'm getting some weird black bits when I wear the skin I made and uploaded. Mainly around the neck and ankles... anyone know what might be causing this and how to fix it? The whole background of my texture is skin coloured so it's not like I missed the edge of the template. The files are in bmp format at 1024x1024.

Try removing everything (clothing, prims, etc.). Put on a new default skin with the tattoo texture slots left blank. Save all three of your skin texture files to the client character folder (overwrite head_color.tga, etc.) Hit ctrl>alt>R (rebake) and take it from there.

My guess is that if your textures are kosher you won't see the problem any more. You'll then need to add things back one at a time until you find out what was causing the artifacts.

P.S - Remember to save the original files you overwrite so you can restore the client to the way it was before.
