Is there a way to make a top that has one arm and shoulder bare and the other side with a sleeve? There probably is but I'm too blonde to see how to do it. =)

Sadly, no, there is no way to do that. That is the reason why there is only one arm in the template: it's mirrored automatically so both arms/sleeves look the same. The only way to cover only one arm is to use prims, but that really only looks good if you are going for a cyborg look.

Prim jackets are hard as heck to make and they don't resize easily. But there is no way to do it through textures.

Hmmm... I wonder if some brave and talented person would/could do a prim jacket out of sculpties?
I wish I could, but I'm nowhere near good enough.

Nice work on that jacket, Bree. Looks great.

Xenius Revere was experimenting with building a sculptie torso that could take the clothing templates as textures. He was about 99% successful with it, although the wireframe looks like an explosion at a spaghetti factory. It's hardly functional, but it's an interesting proof of concept.

In any case, I'm sure lots of people are working on functional sculptie clothing. I'm planning on redoing every single one of my prim-reliant avatars with them as soon as I find the time.

I've mostly successfully turned some of the mannequin mesh into a sculptie. It's one awesome previewer for clothing. I guess you could call it a... mannequin, heh. It's just a matter of me finding the gumption to clean it up.

Agreed that the jacket looks pretty good.

I have almost got my sculptie shoes done.
I would love to make a jacket but...It took me two weeks to get the shoe. A tie I did in two hours.

ooo everyone works so much faster then me. I've just hit the vase/planter/waterfountain stage with sculpties and am busy trying to figure out how not to make something like the sole of a shoe or something like that. As of yet the mystery escapes me ..

well by next year i will have it figured out hehe

I never can figure out prim jackets i tried and gave up but might again. The problem is what happens when they bend an arm or something if the sleeve is made of prims ..

I can make a collar or something but not arms :(
