Has anyone done chase lights using anim smooth? Think it would be done using a cell by cell of one texture, just not sure ... would appreciate an example.
Thanks in advance-

You mean something like this?
http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=images&ItemID=446423 I did that in Photoshop, used probably less than 4 textures and scripted them on a prim. In-world, they have an alpha channel instead of a black background. |

Basically that's it! Have had little luck finding a sequential texture switcher, that compounded with frames showing gray to anyone with less than an optimum network connection, solved the latter by making the textures way small- on the lines of 64 x 64 ... not what I'd call great for a movie marquis with chase lights... that's what got me thinking along the lines of an animation script (have) that reads a single texture frame by frame ... like 2 x 3 which takes a texture divided into two rows three across .... ahhh

That looks pretty cool, Lolita.
![]() Dragger, don't bother with a texture switcher. You're on the right track with the single canvas and then animation script. _____________________
