If I'm designing clothes , Is it possible to test them on the avatar (to see how they are sitting) without uploading them and pay everytime ? Just to upload and pay – only when it's finished . Is there a way to test the clothes before I'm uploading ?

There is a sticky at the top of this forum where you can read about the SL Clothes Previewer. Down load it and use it for previewing your items. You can also test things in the Beta Grid at no cost. I recommend you peruse the other stickies while you're up there. A lot of great info written by some very knowledgeable people. ~Ari

But also learn how jira works then, so you can report a bug when you encounter one, that way you will help SL getting better too. Another way is an external program to preview your clothes textures. For example the SL Clothes Previewer: http://sldevelopers.com/forums/thread/1243.aspx Another one I used is DAZStudio: http://blogs.digitalmediaonlineinc.com/ninjacrayon/entry/200705061Hope this helps, Meni

You get at least 5000 lindens, and when you like the clothes, mpay to upload onto the real grid. Ot look for the program called "Tattoo" which lets you load the /texture onto a default avatar.

Another programme you can preview in if you have it is Poser, you have to upload the avatar mesh to it from the sl website, takes a little getting used to the controls, but there are loads of tutorials out there to help. Good luck with your designing

I love poser, but its is expensive and is not a good fit for SL. Yes, you can test clothes in it, but I would pay $100 when Daz studio is free. The SL clothes previewer has never let me down. Use it, and the beta grid.

Don't know about the CS3 part of your question but here's the beta grid download link: http://secondlife.com/community/downloads.phpIt's located on the Main SL web page.........down at the bottom where is says "downloads"

actually there is a drop down menu in the upload menu to test most every texture you upload before uploading; even sculpties.

Unfortunately I bought the normal edition, so I cannot use this feature. More information here: http://www.kittenlulu.com/?p=514Meni.

More information here: http://www.kittenlulu.com/?p=514 Meni. it's been my experience that Adobe will let you further upgrade your version to Extended, if you want to pay for it.
