TIA :)

PS and PSP both have built in text ability. I think some of the older versions of PSP didn't have it, but Photoshop's had it forever. It's the "T" icon on the toolbox.

What is it you're looking to do with the text that you can't do with Photoshop? Perhaps if you explain what you're trying to do I can help. There's almost nothing that can't be done in Photoshop.

If you're a mac user there's a bit of shareware called FontFX7 which does a lot of text playing faster and easier than using PS, although it doesn't do everything that PS does. I'm pretty sure there's nothing it does that you can't also do in PS, but as a dedicated bit of software to just that I think it does it more nicely.

I might have found what I was looking for. (I did a search on Google "Fonts+downloads"

The kind of text I meant was someting like the pic. I attach here. I wish to have shadows, colors and so on. :)

Have a nice Sunday

juliah, here's an example done in photoshop using layer effects - is this the sort of thing you're looking for? I used the gradient overlay and stroke options in the layer effects window.

You can do all that sort of thing in photoshop. One way is to use the horizontal mask tool, as in example 1. Pick your font type andtype it onto a new layer. Then fill it with any pattern you have that you'd like to use, I used fire in the next example. And then simply use layer styles for the drop shadow or one of the other types as in the last example

Is that what you were looking to do?
