I like to keep a tight inventory, so have been putting my textures by category into the individual THinC texture organizers. When I'm building leisurely at home, I just pull out the category I want and extract the textures I'll need. However, in building classes, sometimes I want to use a different texture than that supplied in the class materials and there isn't time to rez my organizer(s) and flip through it. I've seen texture organizer HUDs mentioned on the forum. Using that kind of HUD, do I just somehow pull the texture right out of the HUD on the screen? I'm just looking for someway to do easy texturing on the fly without bloating my inventory by having them all in folders. Thanks for any suggestions

With the Lestats HUD organizer, once you've found the texture you want, you press two buttons, and it copies the texture to your "Textures" folder. At the same time of course SL opens it on your screen. You can then drag it to whatever surface you want.
You cannot drag a texture directly from the HUD display to a surface.

Thanks, Nika That sounds less involved than how I'm currently working with textures.
