Templates Where does the one end and the other begin?

Hi all,

I am trying to do clothing and tattoos using the available template. I have tried and like the ones by Chip Midnight. However, I tried to do an ankle tattoo and getting it to be lined up from where the tattoo goes from the front template to the back is trouble. I have a terrible time getting these to align just right. Does anyone have any tips or is there another thread that addresses this? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Theoretically, the same line on the front of the ankle should match with that line on the back side. In reality, pttfffff

What you are experiencing isn’t a problem with the template, it is SL’s rendition of it. There are not enough avatar polygons to always give perfect alignment. All I can suggest is try, try and try some more.

Use the preview feature. By using ALT, CRTL & SHIFT keys, you can zoom in preview to see the ankle better. If the beta grid is up, use it. You can upload with free money. Once it is perfect, go to the current SL and pay your $10.

I am sorry I can't offer more. Anyone else have ideas?

Are you on PC? If so, you can use this.

The Beta grid is a separate download. You can find it under Support, Downloads. You download it and install it just like regular Second Life. However, when you go on it you will see a few differences.

You will have around L$ 5000 free money to buy things with.

You will have only a few sims or maybe even one, I forget.

Anything you buy in Beta stays in Beta. So, an uploaded texture will not be in your inventory when you return to SL proper.

The way to use it; is to upload the texture(s), to check your clothing out. Go into appearance and make an outfit with it/them. Once you get it perfect, return to SL proper upload the image(s) one time and , “ta taa,” yo have a perfect outfit for only L$10-L$20.
