Hey ;O) so far your doing fine as far as I know, have your object layer over the clear layer, then go in to Channels tab and create new layer so its called "Alpha" layer becasue without it you could say that you dont have a transparency yet.
When done, save it as TGA and select quality 32 and your done, now load it in, should work like always. :)

hi Petgirl

you know one very easy way of saving an alpha channel in PS is to do the following:

- you have two layers: 1. completely transparent layer; 2. a transparent layer with an object drawn on it (layer 2)

- select layer 2. Then go to Select -> Load Selection and click OK

- Then go to Select -> Save Selection and click ok

(this will automatically create an alpha channel for you for this layer -- to use this approach for multiple layers, merge them into one first)

- lastly, if you want to avoid the white outline problem, pick a dark color that exists on the edge of your object, and put a new layer beneath layer 2 that is filled 100% with the dark color. This means that the semi-transparent pixels on the edge of the object will show through to the dark color, and not the default white background when saving as a TGA

- save your file as a TGA and choose the 32 bit option
