Sculptie Christmas tree

Hello everyone!
I took a class on making a sculptie Christmas tree. The problem is, it looks different on different days. Some days it doesn't look like a Christmas tree at all :(. It's not the round shape that sculpties have before they are fully rezzed. I stood there last night for hours (was making a snowball thrower and stuff) and it never looked right. I've made several other sculpties and this is the only one that's a problem. Any ideas?

There's only two reasons I can think of Sue, since it look correct sometimes but not others. For some reason the sculpt map isn't loading fully or the LOD (level of detail) algorithm is simplifying it when it shouldn't. Next time this happens take a look and see if you're getting a lot of packet loss or if other textures around you are rezzing fully. If your connection is okay and other textures are loading fine, try walking away from it til it's small on your screen and then back up until it's close. See if that makes the LOD unstick (if it happens to be stuck at something other than full resolution).

Thank you Chosen! Your suggestion of level of detail reminded me that I was in a nice but laggy place last night, and turned down all my settings, including the Object Mesh Detail. I forgot to set it back afterwards.

Yep, that would do it :)
