Another way of uploading images to SL?

Since my laptop is in the shop... I'm stuck with this desktop. It has better specs than my laptop, but for some odd reason it freezes when I bring up the "open file" dialog. I guess it's a dumb Vista issue. I tried using "GridImage Upload" but it kept giving me error messages regardless of the type of file. Finally, I just tried typing in the image location, but it then had connection errors. I'm guessing that the program is out of date.
Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone had the link to an updated program or a link to another program.
Thanks.

I just tried GridImageUpload, and had the exact same problem. It throws up an error message about incorrect file format every time, no matter what format I try. Maybe it doesn't work with Vista. I'll try it on my XP machine when I get around to it.

As for what to do about your upload problem, the only idea that's coming to me is perhaps to try a different viewer. If the standard viewer isn't working right for you, try an alternate.

Also, how healthy is the machine you're using? In my experience, freezing when trying to open menus in programs has been the result of either a disk error or a memory problem. When was the last time you defragged the hard drive and cleaned the registry? How much RAM is in the machine? Have you tried running any memory diagnostic tools, such as Memtest, to be sure there's nothing physically wrong with the RAM? How full is the hard drive?

I'm using someone else's computer, so not sure. Perhaps I'll check it out.
