Was wondering if anyone can give me a fairly quick method for exporting a PSP tube file to .tga, maintaining the transparent background. (I purchased a tubes package of plants, and other things that are really nice quality and would like to bring some of them into SL.) I am familiar with Photoshop, it is my weapon of choice, just no so much with PSP and tube files. Thanks in advance for any help! :)

I got one to work...wooo hooo

Using PSP8

open picture tube

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image
Select "source opacity" option

U now have a Mask

Not quite an Alpha Channel ...

now with mask selected

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Save Mask to Alpha Channel - Change name of Alpha Channel to ummm "Alpha Channel"

File - Save as - Truevision (*.tga)

Done

I check in Photoshop as I find it easier to see the Alpha Channels

Upload to SL and get Alpha'd
