I have started making my own eyes in photoshop and they are turning out great except for one problem.
When I make eyes in photoshop they have the detail I want. Then I upload them to SL, put them on my av. And they loose the detail. I have seen many sets of eyes that still have this detail in them after being uploaded and I was just curious how people got the detail to show up once they are worn.
Thanks Stormy

Eye texture resolution max's out at 256x256 on the eye template. Even at that resolution, it's far more detailed than the surrounding facial texture when viewed on an avatar. Also, a lot of the texture surface is not visible on the 3D eye. It is set towards the outer edges of the half sphere that it is mapped on. Only the center of the eye texture is important. The default template offered by LL comes with the neccessary guides for pupil and iris size.
