Preview image won't show actual body

i am trying to upload clothes and for the longest time when i preview the texture on the female or male body before the $10L uploade, the actual body doesn't appear. it starts to appear then the small screen goes blue and i see the texture i'm trying to upload like it is on a body but no actual body appears for me to see the postitioning.

what is up with this? has anyone had this problem?

This is also exactly what I see. I don't believe it's a problem but just that the previewer isn't as detailed as actually wearing the texture. It lets you avoid terrible mistakes (leaving the background layer visible, rotating 90 degrees for working angles and forgetting to flip back... ) but it's not -nearly- as good as seeing it on an avatar in-game. However! It should not take you very long to preview it. Don't send your texture in at 1024x1024, that will choke it up - put it in at 256x256 or if it has a lot of fine details 512x512.

Anyway, do always take the time to actually look at the preview, weak as it is, you'll feel pretty silly if you pay to upload something completely unusable that was clearly shown in the preview. But subtler adjustments I think you can't deal with by previewing.

I'd love to be wrong and for there be a way to preview more detail (other than loading up blender or poser, which I understand are options, I mean in the client) but I don't think there is.

but i can even see the body for about 1 second before it reverts to this blue screen. there is definitely something wrong.
my partner is in SL and she sees the body in her preview window.

What's happening is that the alpha channel in your texture is making most of the preview body disappear. That's perfectly normal and expected. If you want to preview clothing on a visible body, try the SL Clothes Previewer from the sticky thread above this one.
