How do you make signs that you can hang on a building? I just started SL and I am willing to learn.

Paint your your sign in Photoshop, or any other high quality raster painting program you prefer (Paintshop Pro, GIMP, Paint.net, Photopaint, etc.). See the stickies at the top of this forum for important information about transparency, proper sizing of your image, appropriate file formats, etc. Don't skimp on the reading, by the way. There are several things in those stickies that you really do need to know.

When you're done making your image, upload it to SL as a texture (File -> Upload Image). This will cost you $L10.

Create a cube, and apply your new texture to it. Scale the textured cube to whatever size you want it to be, and place it on your building.
