OK, Lindens, listen up (lol). We desperately need more sliders for looseness of articles of clothing. Here's why. Guys complain to me all the time about the lack of 'normal' guy's clothing. I think I've determined part of the reason for this. Most men do not wear skin tight shirts. When adjusting the slider for shirt looseness it'll puff out everywhere but the waist. Who tucks in t-shirts?? Well, I'm sure some do, but most of us don't. This also makes it impossible to do a-line style dresses. Skirts have to go high up on the waist because when we do them lower, there's a gap between waistband and hips. And jackets? Heh, don't even get me started. Who wears a jacket so tight their butt crack is seen through it? lol. OK, I've ranted enough, the point is that it would be great if the 'looseness' could be divided into more sections for each garment piece. Anyone else agree or am I just nuts?

The way shirts work at the moment they really have no choice but to leave them tight at the waist. The shirt isn't a sepearte mesh object attached to the avatar. Adjusting the shirt fit is actually changing the shape of your body. If the shirt fit altered the waist you'd end up with a horizontal "shelf" under the shirt. It would look like you were wearing a very thick shirt :D

ok and let's not forget the issue with really long skirts... when you walk, they flip up quite unnaturally aroud the feet... as far as I know the only way around that problem so far is to build prim skirts and hide the legs flipping out the back.

I suppose we are all hoping for a "fabric" mesh implementation... this would help so much for stuff like tents, curtains, clothing, flags, etc. but of course would be extremely cpu/graphics card intensive! ZOINKS!!!

My 2 cents!

If the shirt fit altered the waist you'd end up with a horizontal "shelf" under the shirt.

if you adjust the fit of pants to 100 and shorten them a lil bit you get something like that. you can make it look good for capris pants with the right settings. for shirts that would be better than nothing and wouldn't need a mesh or whatever in the short term.

Two words: More Kilts.

I wore a kilt and a large one prim belt to block the fact that my skin tight shirt was tucked in. But yeah I agree that the jackets just make little sense. I had to make a cloak for a ball out of ~10 prims using a lot of layers of transparencies to make it look decent.

Have you all seen the cloth simulation in Everquest 2 yet? It's pretty darn neat and would be very fun to have in a future version of SL... ;)

Personally, I'd love to be able to adjust the positioning of textures that I use to make clothes (especially shirts) with the sliders-- you can adjust repetition, offset, etc. on prims, so why not on clothes? It's really annoying when you buy a texture with a large picture, hoping to be able to put it on a shirt, but it wraps around, rather than being centered, so you can't see the picture.

And I totally agree about jackets.... waaay too tight at the bottom. And it would definitely be nice if the sliders let you make skirts that sat on the hips, not just up high on the waist.

add them up and we have

2(The difference between me and you) = 0

The difference between me and you = 0/2

The difference between me and you = 0

I never thought we were so similar

adjustable clothing

this is an awesome idea.

The skirt limitations drive me batty...an A line WOULD be nice, or a fishtail (without having to use a prim).

Sleeves also could use some variety. t really limits how creative you can be in designing clothes. And it does get frustrating when you have a really fun idea but you can't execute it.
