Hey, I'm fairly new to all of this and I'm trying to make my first prim-based objects. I have a relatively complex object and I'd like to apply one texture on the front face, across all of the prims. Is it possible to have multiple faces treated as if they are one and if not, what's the best way to go about doing such a thing?

On the Texture tab on the editor, see where it says Repeats Per Face? That's what you want to be using. For example, if you want your image to span horizontally across two prims, you'd set the horizontal repeat to 0.5, so you get half the image on each one. Then, you'd set the horizontal offset to 0.25 on one and a -0.25 on the other. The end result is the texture appears to span the two prims as if they were one surface.
To select one or more individual surfaces at a time, turn on Select Texture on the editor. Click a surface to select it. Shift-click additional surfaces to add to or subtract from the selection.

I've done all that, but that's where the problem is - The prims (and therefore faces) are of different sizes, so if they're still being treated as separate faces it would mean manually and very tiresomely configuring the repeats and offset of each face, which is why I was looking for a way to link them.
But it doesn't matter anyway, I've gotten around it by using a transparent box.
Cheers for the reply, though.
