And the one tool that almost makes me want to setup a linux box just to run. In the realm of image processing software I qualify this as "too cool".

Malachi was referring to the Resynthesizer plugin. Though, the "healing brush" in Photoshop and the various scratch-removal and etc. plugins by Alien Skin do the same thing. |

If you want a quick and dirty way to do seamless textures in GIMP:
Filters -> Map -> Make Seamless Your milage may vary depending on the image. If I don't like the way GIMP does it, I'll go to a program called Texture Maker which has some more advanced options. |
