Seeking Red Velvet rope texture!

Whenever you'd view it from the top it would disappear. While I don't have a velvet rope texture, I have successfully made a few rope textures that wrap around prims (no alphas what-so-ever). So the texture rope part is possible. Velvet, however, is another story. Every tutorial I've found ended up looking anything but velvet once uploaded into SL. Go figure.
