Hi all,

I was wondering if someone can help me out with a prob I seem to be experiencing fairly regularly.

I create the item of clothing, say a skirt... add the alpha channel.. save to .tga file and upload to SL.. It all looks good until the uploading part where I find that the skirt has a gap to the front right side... and is well just missing! Either that or the alpha channel while appearing fine in PSP and where it should be seems to move somewhere during saving and only parts of the clothes come out.

Does anyone have any idea how to combat this or experienced it themselves? I had the thought that maybe it was a texture thing but a top i created came out fine while the skirt was ... well strange to say the least.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Jasmine,

Are you using the lower body template, or the skirt template?

Unfortunately I don't know PSP, so I'm not sure what could be happening :(

If you want to send me the file I can take a look at it though.

ok hon not to worry.. i'm sure someone here must have had it happen to them at some point!... I got a feeling it is something to do with the fabric because I can make a basic mini with another plain texture and it works fine.

Hopefully someone here can help

Jasmine, if you could post a snapshot, it would help diagnose the problem. I have a theory though. Is it possible you moved the template by chance?

I seem to recall someone having a similar problem with the face template. He kept getting eye holes on his forhead. It turned out he had moved the background layer without realizing it so his alpha did not line up properly.

Just a thought. Hope it helps.

Thanks hon .. I don't think so but it is possible i guess, when I look at the alpha it seems in the right place ... (trying not to laff about someone having eyeholes in the forhead.. i mean ... ewwwww!!)

I would give it a try and get you a snapshot .. one prob... i can't seem to get back in to SL keeps crashing out on me when I get to the loading inventory. Hopefully it is only a temporary problem (fingers crossed)

I'll get a snapshot IF i ever get back in.

Hugsss

Make sure the texture completly covers the bleed-over area. Maybe need to go a little further even.

Ya know, it's so easy to take a thread title out of context :P
