I would go to the doctor because that sounds like a life threating cancer of some sort.

Try the "adjust skin color by one notch" trick... especially if this problem started happening magically after either installing the preview version of SL or installing an SL update. If that doesn't work.. are you using a custom skin?

Mystic, I assume you have the Advanced skin applied. That is what my records indicate. When we are in world together, we should meet so I can observe the mark on you. I have encountered this problem with avatars several times before, and there can be several causes. The skins are simply textures, and there is no logical reason why your skin texture should have a mark on it and hundreds of other exact copies of that texture should be fine. I can get a much better idea of what is going on by observing your avatar in world.

The skin textures sit below almost all other layers, so uninstalling them would be the first step in troubleshooting the problem. If the mark remains, then you need to concentrate on removing any tattoo textures you might have applied to the lower body. If the mark still remains, try setting the body definition slider to zero. If the mark goes away when the skin is removed, then we can assume that the texture has a flaw in it, or it is not resolving completely. It's a long shot, but file corruption (a virtual yet benign cancer I guess) should not be completely ruled out. Whatever it is, I can probably cure it unless version 1.5.6 somehow interefers. :)

THis same problem has been happening to a friend and I the past few days. We are wearing different skins and shapes, but it looks like we have a tumor on our legs. Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
