Good day SLers :)

i was trying to build my own castle.. and since it is a castle.. is has to be big.

i was building it in a sandbox... but when i reached like 75% - 80% of the build.. the castle was about 660 prims, which is a lot

i've heard about a script or a way that i can make objects larger..... so i can significantly reduce the prims on my castle.

i would really appreciate the help.. i'm new at this BTW :)

Thank you.

EDIT: Opss.. sorry i posted this on the wrong forum...

unfourtunately no, what you have heard of i gues is 'megaprims' They are the leftover of a service fault that allowed to create primitive-templates over the default sizes.
Downside -they can -not- be re-proportioned!
They are fine if you need a huge wall or a floor for a skybox, but they are as such just bigger std prim with no resize.
In your case you properly have some complicated interacting structures to make out towers ornaments and the what..
These 'conglamorates' can not be 'fused' to a single prim.
But is you are looking for something that can replace a wall made out of say 5 10*10 std cubes, the search item is 'megaprim' -you will have to ask for one in the right dimention or redesign your build to fit the one you can get.. :/

If you go to a place called Builders Brewery they have a freebie box of editable megaprims. You can't resize them but the selection of different sizes is huge so you can probably find something that will match what you are looking for. You can also make them into any shape you want, sphere, cylinder etc. Again, just don't try to resize or they'll go bouncing back to a 10x10 prim.

NCI - New Citizens Inc - has a bunch of megaprims on their freebies wall as well.

When building a castle, another option to reduce prims is to have textures do the detail work for you. Instead of making a crenellated battlement with a lot of prims, make it with a single prim with a texture that looks like a crenellated battlement.

Similarly, a texture with an alpha window can replace multiple prims that form a wall with a window in it.

If you search the various texture shops, you should find a castle set that you can use to greatly reduce your prim count.

want megaprims without having to have thousands in your inventory? there is a hud that is available on SLX called SALT. its a hud that is connected to a database of over ...well i dont know how many but a bunch.

simple commands deliver the exact one you need.

like this
/1request 20 30 .5

and boom you have it delivered

auesome tool and no i have absolutely no affiliation with the designer..its just a cool hud i use all the time when I'm building.
