In-game texture rotation?

Hi all

Just curious, is there a sneaky way to rotate the orientation of a texture (say on a pair or gloves) about 90 degrees in game? Or do I just need to adjust it in Photoshop and Upload it again as a separate texture?

I'm assuming the later but the former would be nice.

Thanks
CM

if you look at the texture tab in the edit window there is a box for rotation

If the gloves are made of prims, then you can rotate the texture via the Texture Tab settings, as Osgeld said. If they are an actual clothing item, however, then you'll need to change the texture in Photoshop.

Hum, thats one for yes and one for no, how about a tie breaker?

I specifically mentioned gloves so as to avoid the prim issue. I am talking about actual glove gloves... as opposed to Prim gloves. Thanks

Clothing textures have to be rotated external to SL, using Photoshop or your favorite graphic app. There is no way to take a texture that is applied to a glove layer or sock layer clothing item and rotate that texture in-world.

Prim clothes, like a prim skirt, follow the same rules as any other prims, and can be rotated using the prim editing tools.

Nothing was unclear in your post, the confusion was the conflict with the other post... which was a bit vague.

Thanks again

'have to' - 'no way' ? JB (CM?) wanted a precise answer, why are you using these vague terms?

JB/CM NO! (just pretending HTML works in here).

You talk about being Vague then type a load of hyrogliphics that only techies can understand. how about an explaination in plain language for us mere mortals
