I noticed that the Wiki 3rd-party tools list included Tattoo (a direct-to-model texture paint package). I'd figure from this that other 3rd-party "3D paint" packages, such as Deep Paint (same name, different package to the Photoshop plugin listed on the Wiki), could be used too.
However, is there a copy of the mesh for the generic SL avatar somewhere? Or an equivalent one? If not, how do you get the Tattoo output to fit? Do you have to make your own mesh and fit it to the Linden texture template?
