Can I use Macromedia Fireworks for creating clothing and hair and stuff? I am just curious, because it almost resembles paint shop and I cannot afford to buy paint shop...
I still have no idea how to create...I am just wondering if I ever want to get started on it.

you can use any program that can save as BMP, TGA, or JPG. TGA must be saved as 32 bit if you want to have alpha channel transparency.
