Any tips on the evil "crotch area"

I read in a thread that the crotch area is pretty tough to get right and after spending about 3 hours i'm still no further ahead.

I've followed the template perfectly but the crotch area the colours always bleed into the inner thigh and in the template it's not even touching the inner thigh so i don't get it.

Try Whisper Lily's template - I believe it is the best solution available for this problem.

Yeah, i resorted to Whisper Lily's template myself.

However, it doesn't actually cover the crotch all the way through. It does cover the privates and it does give the illusion of coverage.

But, still, I wanted a little more 'connection' between front and back, so I added a single pixel line on the back side that stretches even further than her template and so far it looks good and doesn't bleed onto the inner thighs. Even mine doesn't 'connect' front to back, but it's closer. I'll upload my alpha channel later if you want (I'm not at the system that has the templates).

Here's my alpha channel for panties. I like to have a little more buttocks coverage than the average SL designer, so it's a bit different than Whisper Lillie's template. Modify it to suit your taste.

The little line extended down a bit on the backside is what I was talking about. Put that in and it will come closer to connecting front to back.


I did experiment some more, trying to actually connect, but everything I tried that got close to connecting bleeded onto the inner thigh. So, for now, we have a very good illusion of a connection, which we'll have to settle for until someone wants to figure it out (if possible).
