I have been working on creating my own skins lately with Photoshop and they have been turning out really good except for one problem... I get a white area around the interior of the eyes and on the bottom of the eyelashes and can not seem to get it to go away. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Deanna

there is an area in the top right corner of the face template that you need to be transparent or the colour you wish the eyelashes to be. I usually leave mine transparent.

Hope that helps

You can tell when an area is transparent as GIMP will show a checkerboard pattern as the background. Just erase the upper right corner where the eyelashes go so all you see in that corner is the checkered background. Then be sure to save the image in a format that supports transparency. These formats are PNG or TGA. JPEG does not, so transparent areas will be filled with white.

Also, when you make a new image in GIMP, be sure to click the advanced options arrow and for the "Fill with" option and choose Transparency. If you started with a white filled image, delete the background layer to expose the transparent checkerboard.
