Is there any way to make your clothing or your body skin shiny?

Basically, I need to somehow get either my skin, my body tattoos or my clothing to be shiny, as though they were primitives and I had used the Shiny quailty on them. Is there a way to do this, and if so, how?

It's a good question. :) I was wondering about this myself -- someone like AnneDroid Lily, for example, might look fantastic with such a sheen. I don't know of a way to do it (is there even a workaround?), but you can take a prim "tattoo" with alpha transparency as an Attachment, make that shiny, and move it really close to your av's skin. It's a patchy thing and obviously isn't seamlessly wrapped on, though.

You can't make your avatar shiny.
You can't make transparent prims shiny.
You CAN make pink prims shiny, I suppose, and build a humanoid avatar entirely out of skin-colored shiny attachments, but that would take a lot of time and skill.
Alternatively, you could have a statical shine applied to your skin texture in photoshop.
For instance I have a shiny metal texture, basically a gradient, that I used in beta/1.0, before there was a shiny feature.
By statical I mean that the shininess will not appear to move with the camera angle, as the shiny feature does.
