Hi all!! I have PS7 and am learning to use it (though I am more comfortable with PSP7). When I open PS7, the burn tool does not appear in the toolbar. Is this something I need to toggle on? Also, are there any tools in PSP7 that work the same as dodge and burn? Any advice is welcome Thanks!! Anjaleka Virgo

The dodge and burn tools have likely been there since pshop1. You can access them with the by pressing "O" or Shift-O; the icons on the toolbar look like a ping-pong paddle and a pinching hand, respectively.

Is it actually missing, or is it underneath another tool? The Photoshop toolbox saves space on the screen by stacking buttons on top of eachother. To change which one is visible in a stack, simply click on the currently visible button and hold for a second (Windows/Mac) or else right click on it (Windows). A popup menu will appear, exposing the entire stack. Just pick whichever tool you want. Knowing what's in each stack just takes a little time for memorization, which will happen naturally as you use the program more.
Buttons in a stack are indicated by a small black triangle in the lower right corner of the button. Buttons that are not stacked, such as the move tool, the magic wand, the crop tool, the zoom tool, and the hand tool, have no such blackened corner.
The stack with the burn tool also contains the dodge tool and the sponge tool.

In PSP 7 the dodge and burn are both located in the Retouch tools (white glove finger) or the layers blend mode... The Retouch is alot more suited to touchups...Happy PSPing...
