I'm a newbie and haven't got Photoshop yet. It's $870 CDN! Wow!
I managed to get the sample Hawaain shirt, blue jeans and such from the Second Life website and try them out and they're cool. A woman I met in SL was asking about fishnet stockings. Has anybody got some fishnet textures or sexy fishnet lingerie for SL? I figure I could impress the girls and surprise them with it.

Have you tried looking in the Library part of your inventory? There are lots of textures in there. I think Fishnet is one of the basic ones that is in there.

Can't find it. Are we supposed to get sample textures? Maybe because I'm still on the 7 day trial. I'll look again or try to IM you. Thanks!

I think LL said they were lessening the amount of stuff in the library for new players in one of the last few updates. I could be wrong though. If you don't have it, just ask anyone who's been around longer than a couple of months for it. Anyway, Bob, if you can't afford PS, Gimp is a free alternative. www.gimp.orgI hate to recommend anything other than PS since I'm a huge Photoshopaholic, but money is money. If you have the money Photoshop is worth every penny; if not, Gimp works just fine.

Thanks for the link Chosen I didnt realise that there was a free alternative to psp. That'll give me more options on what software to recommend around On another note, pity that staroffice isnt around anymore, my ex colleague used to rave about how good it was and it was free too

Okay, I managed to acquire a copy of Photoshop 6.0 from a friend who got it with Bittorent. Is it going to be good enough or should I bite the bullet and get the Photoshop CS 8.0 upgrade for $229 CDN now before I waste too much time? It seems to be about 6 years old. Will the upgrade work with this installed pirated copy of Photoshop 6.0?
I found the library in the inventory. It seems to be complete. I'm going to start studying the Photoshop tutorials next.
Thanks for all your responses!

You have to have a legal serial number to use their upgrade program. Ooops. I just saw it wasn't leagl. Don't do it man!
