Client Viewer Keeps refocussing on my SKIN annoying blur.

Why does the client keep refocussing on my skin? I thought once your skin is downloaded to your hard drive why would the client want to refocuss on my skin all the time? i am sick and tired of rebaking becaues my skin is always blurring.

All my skins are saved in tga format at 24bit. The problem with saving under 24 bit is my eye lashes keeps going white like ghost it would only go away if i rebak constantly every 20 seconds.

Does anyone know how to fix this? i am using the latest client. Got Alienware Area 51 Desktop that i spent $8000 on. My computer has 4 gig of RAM Extreme CPU 3.2 Ghz and 3 x Sli nVidia GTX 200 cards.

Have you tried clearing your cache? This sort of thing happens every so often. Cache-clearing usually fixes it.

Beyond that, perform basic maintenance on your system. When's the last time you updated your video drivers, for example? If it's been a while, do it now.

Also, how's your hard drive health? Defragged lately? If you've got more than one hard drive in your machine, I would highly recommend putting your cache on a drive other than your system drive. SL is pretty brutal on hard drives. Even a brand new drive can be fragged all to hell and back by SL in under a week. Regular defragging is essential.

Network settings can make a difference as well. Try tweaking the bandwidth slider in SL.
