ok, this may be asking the obvious or the impossible, I am not sure which But does anyone know if there is a way to make a flexi skirt and keep all the pieces together when it moves rather than the pieces seperating on movement and falling back together when still? I don't know about anyone else but I find these flexi prims a pain in the petute to work with.. first only some can be made flexi, then you have to turn them upside down to get the flex part in the right place, then shaping them is really a pain. If anyone has experimented and come up with something to assist in working with these things I would love to see what you have discovered!

Check on the machinema forum for Beatfox's Amazing Tail. The video's cool to watch, and the the thread talks a little bit about how it was done (how to make multi-prim flexi objects that move in sync). The key, really, is to make sure they all originate from the same point, and that they all have the same settings. From there, it's just a question of shaping, cutting, hollowing, and clever texturing so that the appropriate parts of each prim forumulate the appropriate parts of the entire object.
Not all objects are possible, of course, but there's a lot more that can be done than you might think.

It seems the longer the skirt is the more it will move too and the settings need to be changed to they don't move so much.
