Hello. I am trying to create an image with lace trimming along the bottom edge. I have tried creating tga files with an alpha channel and png files with transparent background to make the image display properly. It works for the most part, but the flat bottom edge of the image that should be transparent is showing as a fine white line. I am not sure what is going on as the rest of the transparency is just dandy. (yes, my lace looks crappy but that is the least of my concerns atm)

The tutorial that I've had the best luck with is the video file on Robin Wood's site.

That works just fine with the lace by itself, but after attaching a "fabric square" in the image to the upper part of the lace and following the same steps, the file still ends up with the white line along the bottom.

If anyone is able to shed light on what might be going on it would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi Piri!

It looks like the white line is just some bleed from the texture.

Try either shrinking the vertical size of the texture to around .950 or .900 (it will stretch the texture over the prim and bring the transparent part of the texture lower over the bottom).

Also make sure you have a 100% transparent texture on the bottom of the prim so that it will not show through the front or back of the curtain.

Best,
~Ari

ohoho, that did the trick - thank you! I'd gotten so hung up on trying to make sure the image was created properly that I'd forgotten to poke around when actually applying it. thanks ^_^
