Two Questions: Tutoring for Making Clothes and Getting Started as a Modeling

I have two questions. I hope this is the right place to be asking.

1. I am pretty new to SL and have a little bit of experience working with Gimp (emphasis on LITTLE) and I was wondering if anyone could help me out a little. Either suggest a class I could go to to learn about making clothes (especially using alpha channels) or maybe tutor me a little. I understand the latter takes a lot of time and effort on the part of the tutor, but I thought maybe I would throw it out there in case there was a good samaritan out there willing to help out a newbie. I could pay you a little for your time, but I'm pretty poor.

2. I'm interested in starting to model- maybe. Does anyone have some advice? What sorts of things do you have to do/ buy? Who hires models? Is there somewhere I can go to get training/ jobs?

Much appreciated!

ok for modeling just go to find then groups then type in model or something and then pick out a group you like and im the creator of it and ask if they are hiring you dont have to really buy anything to be a model just look good :D! You can be your own model to if you learn how to make things...

for a tutorial go to google and type in gimp tutorial or do it in yahoo either way it will help :D!
