I read in a thread on here that the latest viewer no longer allows you to download (full perm obviously) textures to your HD. Can anyone tell me if this is true or not please?

Some reason you can't try it yourself, Isobel?

Anyway, Save Texture As does seem to be broken in the latest RC viewer. Snapshot To Disk works, though.

Yes, I don't have the latest viewer (and I don't want it!) :) I use Nicholaz BE-v and I hope to be able to continue with it.

There always are. I guess we can be grateful they made it a release CANDIDATE, instead of a release.

I wish more people would use RC's regularly. The more people finding and reporting bugs, the less chance there is of any particular bug making it into an official release.
