I've read all the great tutorials on making clothes using Photoshop and all, but is there anyone who has used PSP X to make clothing? If so, how do you go about it?
Thanks!

I use it all the time. Here is a basic overview of what I do. To make a simple shirt (a long sleeve) use the browse button at the bottom to find your download copy of the avatar templates. Load that up. Immdiately save that to some other name like long shirt.psd
Then create a new layer, find that layer on the layer palette and use paint bucket (say blue) Use the transparenty slider on that blue layer until you can see the white of the template below thru it. Use the eraser on the black areas. At this point you should have a blue shape that matches the template below. Click all the eyes on the layer palette on every layer but the blue one All you should have left now visible is the blue shapes Go to layers>New mask Layer>from Image Have the radio set to source opacity, click Ok The mask should be highlighter on the layers palette, Layers>Load/Save Mask>Save mask to alpha channel>Save You now have a shirt with an alpha channel. However your neck and hands are still covered. While still having the alpha channel (mask layer) highlighted in the layer palette go to: Layer>View Overlay That checkerboard background will turn another color. You can now edit the alpha channel (mask layer) using paint brush. You need 256, 256, 256 for white and 0,0,0 for black. Black adds to the alpha and white removes it. This means that white will make things opaque and black will make them clear. Paint black over the hands and make a nice semi circle for the collar at the top of the front and back shapes. Make sure they are in the same location or they wont mesh and it will look bad. Turn off overlay. Save mask to alpha channel again. Now go to Image>delete alpha channel> select Mask#1>delete>OK Re highlight Raster 1 on the layer palette and restore transparency to 100% Highlight the mask layer and delete it. Click no when it asks if you want to merge it. Highlight Group-Raster 1 on layer palette Layers>Ungroup layers Makesure every eye on the layer pallete has a no over it but raster one. If you want a logo now would be the time and you would use raster deform and cntrl L to load it into the image and center it. When happy you would merge the layer the logo is on (raster 2) into Raster 1. Save as (F12) Tga. a warning box will tell the image will be merged and have only one alpha channel (mask #1 unless you renamed it), click ok. Congratulations, you just made a wearable shirt.
To find the Raster deform tool, if it isnt on your left hand tool bar, go to view>customize>all commands>deform move it where ever Mine is with with straighten and warp mesh.
Everything else is copious use of burn, dodge, soften, push and smudge. On your right hand side you should have the layer palette open, the materials palette open and the overview palette open. You can paint textures with swatchs. There is a button on the materials palette to make swatches. Click it, name your swatch select you location of your texture and then save it. You can now paint with that. Blur also is a good tool. Wrinkles are alot harder but are basically burn and dodge layered. Always use layers. That is about it. Create new layer. Paint bucket again with your color

You've saved me hours of frustration!
Thanks again!
