Now i have phototshop and i download templates from sl download im not sure thats what im sapose to be disigning on because they dont have any of those textures i see on pants in sl im kinda confused and i see jackets with zippers and button up shirts i was woundering if someone could tell me whats up with why i cant do any of that stuff

first question, have you ever made anything in Photoshop before that you be transfered to and 3d object.
Second, use the tutorials above they are great for teaching the basics.
third, they are all textures. You get textures from photos. So grab a web camera, and take a pic of your clothes and use those photos for your zippers and buttons.
